Today is a sad day for some. Today is the day we take the time to remember those who have fallen to protect our country. Today is the day we mourn their losses, but we thank them for the sacrifice they made for us.

I am thankful for those brave men and women who serve this country everyday so that we may have the freedoms we have. I will never forget them and the sacrifice they make for our country and its people. I am free today because of them.

Today is the day we thank them. Today is the day we mourn them. Today is the day we honor them.

But today should not be the only day we remember them and thank them. We should thank them everyday. Whenever we are reminded of the freedoms we have, we should thank them. They paid the price for our freedom so we wouldn’t have to.

I will always be thankful for them. I will always remember them.
