“Let your wings take you to the clouds“

This is a quote that I often repeat to myself. You may have different interpretations of this quote, but I want to share what it means to me.

Dreams. Goals. Everyone has them. Everyone has the courage to follow them if they chose to or not. Sometimes, we following along with society, letting out dreams be left somewhere behind us. Sooner or later, those dreams and goals get forgotten about. We get so caught up in what society wants of us that we forget that we would rather be somewhere else.

Sometimes, we follow that little voice in our head. That little voice that tells us we aren’t good enough. That little voice that can control our actions if we let it. “No one will like that”. “No one will read this”. “You should listen to them”. “You aren’t good enough”…

I have goals and dreams that I am determined to follow. Sometimes, that little voice just laughs at them. It says I won’t be able to succeed. “Those are just childish dreams,” It says. “These dreams are to high for you to reach”.

Every time I post on this blog or on my Instagram, I get this feeling. Will anyone read this? Will they like it? I think to myself. I doubt my ability. I doubt my work. I doubt myself.

That doubt is just that little voice in my head saying I’m not good enough. But, I’ve learned to ignore it. It doesn’t matter if people are reading this. I’m following my dream and that’s all that matters. If people read it along the way then YAY! I’ve done something right.

But we still fail. That little voice uses that failure as leverage to make you give up. I’ve learned that failure is a good thing. I learn from my failure. From my critics. I take that, and I fix it so I won’t fail again. Even Yoda says, “The greatest teacher, failure is”. We learn from those failures and mistakes.

Forget about those doubts. Forget about that little voice. You have these dreams, these goals, and you have the ability to reach them. Follow your dreams. Reach for your goals.

“Let your wings take you to the clouds”. Your wings can carry you to those dreams and goals. You just have to be brave enough to use them.
