So, school starts tomorrow (at least for me). Throughout the years, I’ve had trouble fitting my writing in with my schooling and other things. School takes up a lot of time, especially with clubs and sports.
I personally have struggled with making the time for my writing. Sometimes I would go days or even weeks without writing. It was hard for me because my writing is very important to me.

This year, I’m making a change.

I’m going to force myself to make the time. Even if it’s only thirty minutes a day. It doesn’t matter how long. I just have to write at least once a day.
Some days it will be hard, but as Dory once said, “Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming”.

I know that school can be hard. I know that sometimes making time for what we enjoy can be hard. But if you truly love doing it, you’ll make the time for it. It’s important to take a break from life for a while and do something you love to do. I spend a lot of time reading and writing because I enjoy doing it. It helps me take a break from reality and the rollercoaster called life.

So, make the time. Even if you have to take a break from school or whatever you’ve got going on. Make the time. You won’t regret it.

I love this. As a poet/writer I am encouraged by this and challenged to put in the time with the pen.
