I know I’m a little late, but happy New Year! Gosh, I can’t believe its actually 2021.
What is one thing that most everyone does on new years? They make resolutions. And you know what else? Half of those people don’t keep them.
I’m not trying to call anyone out or offend, I’m just bringing up a point. I have made resolutions in the past and not kept them. We all have habits we either want to break or have. We make these resolutions so that way we can gain or break a habit.
But the truth is, sometimes we can’t. And another thing, making a resolution is so hard. Like, there could be a bunch of things you want to accomplish. It is hard.
So, here’s my idea. Instead of making a hard set resolution, why not make a list of goals? A list of things we want to accomplish in 2020. This way, you don’t have to feel bummed if another resolution fails. This list can be as small or as large as you want it to be.
Here are a few of mine:
Write or edit for 30 minutes every day.
Read as much as possible.
Spend more time with my family.
These are just a few. My 2021 goal list fills nearly a whole page in my planner.
This is just an experiment, but I’m hoping that by making this list of goals I can actually accomplish some things. I hope that maybe this will inspire all of you to make a list. Let’s check each item of this list together.
