Hey y’all! I’m sorry for not posting last week. I have kind of been in a motivation slump for a while and my recent move only added to that lack of motivation. It’s been a stressful few weeks.

But I’m hoping to get back in the game over the next few weeks. And I already have a little. As some of you know, last year I finished writing my work in progress, Rain and Wave. I have put off editing for a long time, mainly because of my slump but also because editing is such a long process. I was scared to start. But no more! I’ve spent a lot of time working on it over the past few days. Hopefully, I will be able to start sharing more about the story and hopefully some snippets as well. I would love to hear what you guys think I should do. Do you have any questions about the story or my writing process? Do you want to read snippets? Comment and let me know!

I am hoping to get my motivation back and start working on some other projects as well. I’ve got some new story ideas I want to pursue and see where it goes. In addition, I hope to start reading more as well.

Writing and reading have always been two of my favorite things. I hate seeing them be pushed aside. Whenever I get back into it, I always ask myself why I stopped in the first place. There is never a solid answer to that question. Sometimes I just need a break. Sometimes there are other reasons. Or sometimes I just lose the motivation for it. It depends, I guess.

From time to time, I have to force myself to start reading or to pick up a pen. But whenever I pick up my book or the pen I always realize why I love reading and writing so much. It’s my passion. Reading helps me escape from reality. It feeds my imagination. Writing is not just a hobby to me. It’s my life. I have so many stories I want to tell. I have to share them with people. I have to write them down. If I couldn’t do either of those things, well, I don’t know what I would do.

I’m finally getting out of this slump, and I can’t wait to get back into the game!
