Hey y’all! So, I’m posting today instead of yesterday because this week is national collection week for Operation Christmas Child. For those of you who have followed me for a while, you know that I’ve talked about Operation Christmas Child a few times. For those of you who don’t, you can find a post that explains what OCC is here.
Helping out with Operation Christmas Child, or OCC, has always been an amazing experience for me. My old church used to be a drop-off center for people to bring their packed shoe boxes before COVID happened so I haven’t participated in the last year or two. Then I moved so I am not totally sure I will be able to participate this year either.
Since I haven’t found a way to participate in OCC this year, I thought I would make a post about National Collection Week, to make sure that you all knew about it.
National Collection Week is the 15th-22nd, which is this week! Any day this week, you can take your shoe boxes full of toys, school supplies, clothes and other things that they may need to any of the drop-off centers near you. To find these drop-off locations, just google where to find them or search on the Samaritan’s Purse website.
As I’ve said many times, OCC is something that I love to participate in. Christmas is definitely one of my favorite holidays, so the fact that I can give Christmas gifts to someone who doesn’t usually have Christmas is incredible.
