Today is September 11th. Twenty years ago today the Twin Towers were attacked. Nearly 3,000 people died that day. I wasn’t alive when 9/11 happened, but my parents were. They remember that day. They were a part of the thousands of people watching through their tv screens in disbelief as the two Towers fell.
I wasn’t alive that day, but I have heard the stories. I’ve watched the documentaries and news programs. I’ve read articles and reports.
Every year, all of America remembers that day. Even those who were not yet born, like me or my brother or my sister. We remember.
Every year we remember. Every year we come together to remember those who feel and those who searched for hours in the rubble. Every year we remember.
And every year, we will never forget.
